Spring Term 1 - January 2021

Hello everyone! Happy New Year! We hope you all had a safe and Blessed Christmas and that you had lots of fun with your families.

Unfortunately we won't be able to see you in Nursery but miss you lots and look forward to the time when we will see you again in class.

Tapestry will be used for home learning tasks and we look forward to seeing lots of photographs and posts of the fun you have been having, while doing the tasks, at home. Please do not worry if you cannot complete everything. Just do what you can and enjoy your time together as much as possible.

If you want more home learning ideas please check out our 'Self-Isolating' section on the school's website too!

The Three Little Pigs

Our story for this half term is The Three Little Pigs. It is a traditional fairytale and one that most people know and love. The children will engage in Talk 4 Writing tasks that will enhance their understanding of the story. These may include finding out about real pigs and wolves and looking at the different materials we can use to build our homes.

Topic - Water (and Winter)

Water (and winter) is our topic until the half term break. The children will hopefully learn about water (and winter) through tasks that allow and encourage them to investigate and explore these themes. Hopefully the children will know more about how water can become ice, when we freeze it and how we can also make water into steam (when we boil it). We may even see some ice or snow if our winter weather allows us!

For maths we will be concentrating on counting 1to 5+, colour, sorting by colour and shape. The children will have activities to support their growing understanding of these areas and hopefully have some fun while doing so.

During this half term the topics we will learning about are: Mary the Mother of Jesus, Baptism and God's Family. The children will have activities that hopefully develop their understanding of these important Christian themes.

It is our hope that the children will enjoy participating in the activities for this half term and we greatly look forward to a time when we can see you all back in Nursery.

Keep safe and God bless you all.
