St Anne's Catholic Primary School

Well, well, well, WHAT A GAME! 

Seven of our staff Miss Weeks, Miss Talbot, Mrs McAdden, Miss Gould, Miss Fenning, Mr King and Mr. Gaylor, ably supported by Mrs Glasford, Mrs King and Miss Cummins went to play a netball match against the Emmer Green staff.

In the first 1/4 of 10 minutes, we started really strongly, going 7-0 up with some great shooting from our shooters, in particular Miss Fenning, leaving Emmer Green team shell shocked! 

The second 1/4, Emmer Green came out strongly, bringing on some replacements (clearly with a lot of experience of playing netball) trying to claw back our lead. They scored the next 4 nets, in the first 2 minutes of this quarter but persistent defending by Miss Talbot and Mrs McAdden, St Anne's staff scored 2 toward the end of this period, leaving the score 9-4. 

With St Annes staff having just the 7, we started to flag a little in 1/4 3, with Emmer Green again rotating their squad. This period was really tough and Emmer Green managed to bring the game level with some excellent scoring from their goal shooter. 

Moving into the last period of time, we seemed to be reenergised and came out fighting. This quarter was the quarter of Fenning and King, with Mr King embodying his inner Gandalph(YOU SHALL NOT PASS) while defending and blocking everything! Miss Fenning smashed it, with St Annes taking this quarter 9-1 leaving the final score 20-12! 

We all just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the children who have helped us practice and prepare for our match today.
