At St Anne’s, we are very proud of the strong sense of community that exists within our school. We believe that education works best when we all work together; children, parents, staff, governors, parish, and the wider community.

As a Catholic school, our faith is at the heart of everything we do. It shapes our values, guides our actions, and helps us build a caring, respectful, and welcoming environment for everyone.

We work closely with our parish and are fortunate to have strong links with local organisations and charities. These partnerships help us to broaden the experiences of our children and encourage them to play an active role in the world around them.

Parents are an important part of school life. Through events, volunteer opportunities, and regular communication, we encourage families to take part in their children’s education and in the wider life of the school.

We are always looking for new ways to strengthen these connections and welcome your ideas, involvement, and support.

Working with other schools

St. Anne’s plays an active role in the local Catholic Cluster of primary schools.  Working collaboratively to complete standardised moderation.  As a cluster we organise inter school sports, so that all of our students have an opportunity to see that we are part of a wider community.

In addition, we are part of the North Caversham Cluster, this is a group of local schools that work together to support each other.  Staff meet frequently across all subject areas and have firmly established networking meetings that are effective and efficient.

St Anne’s is a member of the Reading Sports Partnership, therefore we participate in a range of inter school sporting events to inspire, enrich and motivate our sporting choices.  These events are for all pupils, they are fully inclusive and all pupils have an opportunity to participate.
