The Diocesan Schools’ Building Fund (DBF)

The Diocesan Schools’ Building Fund was established in September 2000 to help provide essential contributions towards building and repair projects at our Voluntary Aided Schools.

The Fund is supported equally by two groups: 50% comes from local parishes, whether or not they have access to a Catholic school, and the other 50% is raised by schools through donations from parents of children attending the school. This shared commitment reflects the Bishop’s dedication to supporting all Catholic schools in the Diocese.

As a Voluntary Aided school, we receive only 90% of the funding allocated for capital projects—such as building improvements, purchasing new technology, and other large expenditures. It is the school’s responsibility to raise the remaining 10%, which we do through the DBF.
