Christmas
Read Matthew 1: 18-2: 23 – The Birth of Jesus
Identify who in the Christmas stories faced a challenge or difficulty.
Zoom in on one figure in the Christmas story and list the problems/challenges s/he faced.
Now, write a diary entry/letter from that individual. It must include:
- that individual's involvement in the Christmas story (what they did, where they were etc.)
- the problems/challenges they faced
- their thoughts and fears at different points
- their reflections on the birth of Jesus
Baptism and Confirmation
Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pD7kE8qUz5A
What are the signs, symbols and actions of baptism? Can you make a poster/leaflet explaining these?
History/Geography - this term we are focussing on our STEM project on fast cars and rockets
To help your learning:
- research design features of fast cars and rockets
- can you devise a scientific test to look at different designs?
- draw a design for a fast car/rocket and annotate with design features for speed
CHALLENGE - how could you make your car/rocket more environmentally friendly?
Art/DT - Pop art (printing)
Try some home-printing. Can you carve a design into a potato and this to print a repeating pattern in paint?
Can you do layered printing? Watch this video to guide you!
