Are you a child from Reception who is self-isolating in Spring 1, 2020? If so, here is your work!
You should complete the following work whilst you are self-isolating:
- minimum 1 Maths lesson per day
- minimum 1 English writing lesson per day
- reading every day
- RE for 2 hrs 30 mins per week
- PE/physical exercise for at least 2 hours per week
- Other subjects - one lesson at least every week

Mental Maths
Please do lots of counting! From 0-10, then to 20, then to 30 and on and on!
You could try counting backwards as well from 10 to 0, then from 20 to 0 etc.
Please make sure to practise your doubles to 10 and then to 20
1+1 = 2
2+2 = 4
3+3 = 6 etc
Also, please practice your jigsaw bonds to 10 e.g. 5 + ? = 10 / 9 + ? = 10

- Tell made up and known stories with homemade puppets – use old socks, wooden spoons lolly sticks or straws
- Sing Nursery Rhymes

- Make music with saucepans and Tupperware
- Play guessing games – such as think of an animal and give your child clues to guess
- Play board games

- Record videos of your child retelling the stories and share them with me
- Story scribing – get your child to tell you a story and write down what they say
- Silly Rhymes
- Shopping bag game – I went to the shop and brought an apple the next person says I went to the shop and brought an apple and a potatoe
- Write to a relative or friend
- Go on a listening walk somewhere secluded, write down all the sounds you hear
- Collect things on your walk or do a treasure hunt. Collect them in an egg box to sort out later
- Make a ‘natural’ crown of things you find out and about

- Blow bubbles
- Make bread or pizza for the family to share
- Read information books or research about chicks and frogs life cycles. You may be able to find some frog spawn to take home in a local woods.
- Plant cress seeds and watch them grow. You could grow them in different locations with different environments to see how this affects their growth
- Observe the weather each day and make a weather chart
- Make a family tree
- Freeze small toys in ice and work out how to free them
- Make a rainbow out of skittle sweets around the edge of a small plate – add water and watch a rainbow appear.
- Look at different ICT around the house. Can you learn to use it carefully and safely? Eg remote controls, the microwave, phones
- Feed the birds in your garden and keep a tally of the birds that visit.
